The beautiful and magnificent God gifted Karambar (Karomber) lake one of the hardest and longest lake trek in Pakistan from Ishkoman Valley Ghizer. it is second highest lake at elevation 4,304 meters. truly worth seeing sight in unseen north of Ishkoman valley Ghizer Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan. this biologically active lake located on the most remote and beautiful Broghil (Baroghil) valley and border country Afghanistan and the Wakhan Corridor.
there are three remote long route to reach this 3.9 km wide Karambar lake near Karambar An (Pass).
one route is from Chitral side enter yarkhun valley then passing through outstanding mountain view, large glacier, lush green grass Broghil (Baroghil) valley to Karomber lake.
second one is from longest trek Ishkoman valley enter Bar swat valley passing through snow cape mountain and huge glacier Karambar valley along Karambar river to Karomber lake.
third route to Darkot village Yasin valley over Darkot pass to Chikar Broghil (Baroghil) valley Chitral to Ishkarwaz to green meadows Lashkargaz, view of mighty Chiantar glacier to grass land of Lale Ribat (Lalay Rabat), Margach up valley Karambar pass reach Karambar lake.

Trek to Karambar lake from Ishkoman valley Ghizer Gilgit Baltistan:
Drive from Islamabad to capital Gilgit city of Gilgit Baltistan
drive to reach big city Gahkuch after reaching Gahkuch bazar, over bridge enter ishkoman valley road along with karamber river reach Chatorkhand then Phakora drive continue on road reach Barjangle then Ishkoman bypass Ishkoman and towards lmit after limit jeep trek start. hire jeep limit or bad swat for Bort.
drive to reach Bad swat final reach Bort village.

Day 1 trek Bort 2800 m to Maturamdan(Matram dan) 2980 m (3- 4 hours, 12 km)
trek start along with karamber river on right East might Karambar Glacier which leads up the bas camp of Kampir Dior (Kampire Dior) 7,168 m Batura mustagh Karakoram range enter Batura glacier (57 km ) which 7th longest glacier in the world and 4th longest in Pakistan.second route from Karambar Glacier to Yashkuk sar 6667 m Karakoram range base camp Chapursan (Chiporsun) valley.
after Karambar Glacier crossing on left view on West Saklei Buk and reach Maturamdan(Matram dan).

Day 2 trek Maturamdan(Matram dan) 2980 m to Warghut 3300 m (4- 7 hours, 13 km)
Ascending to Warghut 3300 m difficult trail along with river upwards on East side view of Koz Sar 6,677 m Batura mustagh Karakoram range and on right West view of Pekhin glacier(Lup Buk) and view of Chiantar Sar 6,416 m Chiantar glacier Hindu Kush range. view peak all around and continue hike to reach Warghut 3300 m.

Day 3 trek Warghut 3300 m to Sokhter Rabot 3450m Sokhtarabad Karambar valley (3- 4 hours, 10 km to 11 km)
after crossing Warghut Continue up valley on East side view of Chilinji Glacier leads to Chilinji pass 5291 m enter to Chapursan (Chiporsun) valley Gojal Hunza. crossing Chilinji glacier, overview of Warghut peak 6130 m and Batzenhausl 5700 m. there is Chillingji gah is a small forest and grassy valley known by local people Warguth jungle. descending continue to reach Sokhter Rabot 3450m Sokhtarabad, huts also called Sokhter Rabot (3420m) with willows and a meadow for camping.

Day 4 : Sokhter Rabot Sokhtarabad to Shuyinj 3900 m Karambar valley 6- 8 hours, 15 km
after trails 10 minute there is a Khora Bort (kuraburt) Pass small pass enter Wakhan corridor Pamir mountain range and view of Qalandar Uwin Hindu Kush range. continue on Karambar lake trek reach Chateboi (Chhateboi) Glacier 4798 m Rochen. on south Chhateboi glacier leads up to Koh-i-Chhateboi (Chhateboi peak) 6,150 m ,plateau peak 5,850 m, Plateau munich and finally to Chiantar group Chiantar central peak 5,678 m, Little Chiantar, 5,765 m and Koh-i-Chiantar (Chiantar Sar) 6,416 m Chiantar glacier in Hindu Kush range. at Chhateboi glacier on north Qalandar Zom peak 5800 m Pakistan and Afghanistan border.
the next 3 Km walk up the glacier on karambar river view of Saklej Shuying along trek . then trek along with river on green meadows reach spectacular view of Hindu kush mountain range and karambar valley reach Shuyinj spell also suyench or Swinj 3930 m a small huts there.

Final day Days 5 Shuyinj to Karambar Lake 5 hours, 13 km
after cross shuying final trek 4 to 5 hours on grass wide land along river reach Twin valleys then amazing first view of second highest lake Karambar lake 3 km long on behind Zhui Sar and opposite of Lupsuq peak lupsuq glacier Lupsuk valley. on West clear visible Karambar pass (Karambar An) 4188 m on north border Badakhshan Wakhan Corridor Afghanistan on south opposite of lake longest glacier in hindu kush mountain range Chiantar glacier. rest in camp near lake and visit whole lake and take some outstanding photography lake and peaks near lake. Karamber lake feeds up Karambar rive flow into whole Ishkoman finally meet Gilgit river. few minute walk overlook Karambar Pass 4188 m ,Yarkhun valley are join via with the Karambar valley. there is another beautiful lake called Ribat lake is at least 1 miles away from Karomber lake towards Ribat.
