Last village of Yasin valley Darkot (Darkut) valley on foot of Ghamubar Zom (Ghamubar I) 6518 m highest peak in the valley. valley is a region of high mountains, grassy pastures, passe and lakes. it is surrounded by Chitral valley border in the north on highest pass in the valley Darkot pass that connect Darkot valley to Chitral valley. Chitral valley is a last valley in khyber pakhtunkhwa after enter Afghanistan. Ishkoman valley In the east of Darkot valley, Both Darkot valley and Ishkoman valley are sub valley of Ghizer District is the westernmost part of the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan.
Darkot valley is a tourist attraction valley in Yasin valley Ghizer, it's nature beauty attract many tourist because of lake, stream, meadows and high mountain pass. mountaineer valley expedition of massive Ghamubar Zom 6518 m, Garmush Zom 6244 m, Darkot peak 5200 m, Chikar zom 4800 m, Koyo Zom 6872 m and Karol Zom (Thui Zom I, 6661 m) all mountains lies in Hindu kush mountain range.
Upper Darkut valley leads up to base camp of Garmush Zom 6244 m Garmush glacier Darkot and also can summit from easy side from longest Chiantar glacier, 34 km long chiantar glacier is a longest glacier in Chitral and 6th longest in Pakistan. Koyo Zom 6872 m highest peak on border Chitral and Darkot valley, it can be seen from Gartanz upper Darkot valley in Darkot.

Darkot valley beautiful attraction points are Ghasumo village, Rawat valley and Dulung Bar meadows. Yasiney Chhel river also called Darkot river flow down the valley.

in the valley two huge lakes which are namely Ghamober Lake and Khalthir Lake. you can visit Khalter (Khalthir ) lake, it is very long lake trek start from upper Darkut, Darkut valley.
Ghamober (Ghamu Bar or Gamoo Baher) lake is closest lake in the valley feed up by massive Ghamubar Zom (Ghamu Bar Glacier). there is another lake and meadows in Ghasumo village Darkot, trek start from Ghasumo village on grassy pastures Dulung Bar meadows, view of amazing mountain end at glacial lake Dulung (Duloong).

in the south of Darkot village a huge mountain Ghamubar group which can be seen through out the valley and also seen from darkot pass, rawat valley and Yasin valley. it's glacier Ghamu Bar Glacier originate Ghamu Bar lake, Ghamubar II 6432 m, Blatts Yaz 6191 m, Thui Zom 6158 m peak also lies in Ghamu Bar Glacier Hindu kush mountain range.

Highest Darkot (Darkut) Pass 4,703 m Darkot valley to Chitral valley :
A beautiful high mountain pass trek up rawat valley at border of Chitral valley, trek start from awesome valley along with stream greenish rawat valley and hike up Khambakh 3800 m base camp of Darkot pass further hike to reach pass. from the Pass you can see on north Wakhan Corridoir Afganistan, Koyo Zom 6872 m on north west side, north east Garmush Zom peak, south Ghamubar Zom peak, north east Showrsheer(Showar shur), Laly Rabat valley ,Broghil valley , Karambar pass and down Chitral valley. Darkot pass is a highest pass 4,703 m on Darkot glacier in whole yasin valley close to Chatibo glacier and Zindikharam glacier.

from pass two route to enter Broghil (Baroghil) valley 3000 m Chitral vally, one is Darkot pass descending to Zindi Kharam Glacier crossing Yarkhun river enter Broghil (Baroghil) valley and second descending on Darkot glacier to along with Yarkhun river Chikaar village 3700 m Chitral valley. Darkut village hire jeep for Darkut pass which drop you near darkut pass 30 minute drive from Darkut village or 2 hours hike from village to reach near pass. trail on glacier lead up to reach Darkut pass. pass can also view from Ghasumo village bridge.

Pass is very famous for both people of Mastuj valley, YarKhun valley, Broghil valley in Chitral and Darkot valley, Yasin valley in Ghizer. through this pass people of the valley enter to Badakhshan Afghanistan before check post registration.

Panji (Ishkoman aghost) Pass 4587 m Darkot valley Yasin to Ishkoman valley Ghizer :
high mountain pass and shortcut pass for both people of Yasin valley Ghizer and Ishkoman valley Ghizer. Ishkoman aghost known as Panji Pass or Ishkoman pass at elevation 4587 m. a long trek along with stream unknown name lake and outstanding mountain view connect darkot valley to Ishkoman proper (Ishkoman).

Flight or drive from Capital city Islamabad to reach Gilgit on karakoram highway.
from Gilgit drive to reach big city of Gahkuch Ghizer district.
Further drive along with Gilgit river reach Gupis Ghizer then drive to Yasin valley another beautiful valley in Ghizer district.
Continue drive in high mountain valley and reach Last village Darkut valley.
